Alex Ozuna, was born on May 1, 1971, in Bronx, New York, to Nelson Ozuna and Grisel Ortiz. He was a graduate of Miami Central Senior High, Class of 1990. Alex developed a passion for driving charter buses, where he got an opportunity to explore the vast landscapes of the United States. He eventually found his calling with Miami Dade County Transit and dedicated twenty-three years to serving his community. His commitment and passion for his work were evident to all who knew him.
Beyond his professional life, Alex had a profound love for sports, particularly for his beloved Miami Dolphins. He shared his passion by coaching little league football, mentoring young men, nurturing their talents, and watching them grow into athletes. His unwavering support for his alma mater, The Miami Central Rockets, spanned three decades, as he faithfully attended high school football games.
Alex’s infectious smile and compassionate nature endeared him to all who knew him. He was a beacon of light, radiating care and understanding to everyone he encountered. His legacy of kindness will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.

He leaves behind a legacy of love to: his parents, Nelson Ozuna and Grisel Ortiz; four siblings who adored him, Miguel (Sheila), Nelson (Eidha), Gustavo (Cagney), and Hilda (Pierre); one uncle, Melvin Ortiz; nieces and nephews, who held him dear in their hearts, Abel, Delma, Miguel Jr., Michele, Eric, Grisel (Coqui), Tatiary, lvelys, Leontae, Jalissa, Trayvon, Londyn, Ryan, Karen, Jonathan, Brianna, Jeremy, and Nylah; as well as several great-nieces and nephews, and a host family, friends, and co-workers.
