Obituary
Today, we come together to celebrate the life of our Beloved Mother, Alsheree Smith, better known as “Candy.” Though she may have been taken from us too soon, her spirit will forever live on in the memories we cherish and the love we shared. Candy was a native of Miami, FL, born on July 8, 1956, to the parents of Shirley Lee Golden and Albert Smith, Jr., who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Maurice Sikes and Kenneth Golden. On September 20, 2024, Candy collected her wings and was called home to glory, she takes her final rest .
Candy attended Miami Dade public schools, where she further her education at Beacon Nursing Institute. She worked faithfully at ADVO as a Machine Operator for many years. Candy love to sing and dance. She could listen to Betty Wright’s “No Pain No Gain” all day. She was homemaker who believed in family. Her family was not only her own, but those to whom she met. When she loved, she loved hard for all those who knew her. Candy always trusted in God and have unwavering faith. She endured many battles and tragedies in her lifetime, but she kept her trust in God, the same God gave her insurmountable strength to endure three sons, who preceded her in death, Davon Smith, Devon Smith, and Anthony Taylor.
She leaves her legacy behind and will be truly missed by: her children, Jimeka Mitchell (James), Bridgette Mitchell (Oreeta), Shirley Scott (Micheal), Toni Smith, Toya Smith, Anthony Smith, Jacquelen Smith (Ronald), and Micheal Taylor; brothers, Albert Smith III and Christopher Randolph, 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, cousins, family, friends, and neighbors.
