Obituary

Annie was born on January 6, 1936, to the late Bessie Larry. From the beginning, Annie’s life was marked by love, strength, faith, and devotion to her family. She became the beloved matriarch of her family and was affectionately known as “Sister” by those who knew and loved her dearly.

Annie received her early education and went on to graduate from Savannah High School. She was blessed to become the proud mother of ten children—five daughters and five sons. Her children and grandchildren were a great source of joy and pride throughout her life. She embraced motherhood with love and dedication and became a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many.

Throughout her working years, Annie was employed by several companies before dedicating herself to caring for others as a home health nurse. Her compassionate spirit and willingness to serve others allowed her to touch the lives of many people. Caring for others was more than a profession for Annie; it was an expression of the loving heart she carried throughout her life.

At an early age, Annie accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and made God the center of her life. Her faith remained a source of strength and guidance throughout her journey. She faithfully served for many years at Celestial Church of God, where she was respected and loved as a mother, teacher, leader, and woman of God. Through her service, wisdom, and example, she left an enduring spiritual legacy.

Annie was a woman who loved deeply, served faithfully, and gave generously of herself to her family, her church, and those around her. Her presence brought comfort, wisdom, and love to countless lives. The memories she created and the lessons she taught will continue to live on through the generations she leaves behind.

After 90 years of a life filled with love, faith, family, service, and cherished memories, Annie’s earthly journey came to an end on August 29, 2026, when she peacefully made her transition from this earthly life to her eternal heavenly home.

Annie leaves to cherish her precious memory: three daughters, Rose Lee Williams (Michael), Elaine Williams (Derrick Gaymon), and Michelle Sturrup; and four sons, Gerald Williams, David Osgood (Cibil Johnson), Keith Osgood (Mabel Johnson-Osgood), and Gregory Williams. She is also survived by one brother, Curtis Larry; her nurse and daughter, Cassandra; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and sorrowing friends.

Though Annie has completed her earthly journey, her love, faith, wisdom, and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Well done, good and faithful servant.
