Obituary
Annie Mae Latimore Banks was born on October 18, 1948, to the late Deacon Howard Latimore, Jr., and the late Ozzie Emma Latimore of Shellman, Georgia.
Early in life she confessed her love and belief for Christ. She joined Rocky Bottom Baptist Church, in Shellman, Georgia.
Annie attended the public schools in Shellman, Georgia. She graduated from Shellman Vocational High School in the class of 1967. Upon graduating, she relocated to Miami, Florida. She attended Miami Dade College and graduated in 1975. From there, she attended the University of Miami and obtained her BSN degree in 1984. Then she attended St. Thomas University, where she received her MHM degree in 1988. During her employment years, she worked as a Registered Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, VP of Case Management, and VP of Nursing at Community Health Centers.
She leaves to cherish her memories and lifetime the following: her husband, John Wesley Banks of Miami, Florida; daughter, Lavonda Banks of Miami, Florida; four sisters, Lizzie Latimore of Miami, Florida, Dorothy Seymore of Savannah, Georgia, Naomi Mitchell of Dawson, Georgia, Vickie Latimore of Warner Robins, Georgia; one brother, Cleveland Latimore of Pooler, Georgia; six sisters-in-laws, Bernice Latimore of West Palm Beach, Florida, Millie Allen, Ouida Lemon, Marion Banks, Linda Banks of Shellman, Georgia, and Jenny Currington of Kingsland, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
