Annie Mae Rolle Cunningham was born to the late Anna Minnis and Ishmael Cash Rolle on July 29, 1932, in Miami, Florida. She began her formal education in Miami Dade County public schools and later completed her studies at Lindsey Hopkins Technical and obtained a certificate as a Nurse Aide.

On August 12, 1950, Annie married the love of her life, Herbert Cunningham. They were married for 48 years and were blessed with nine children. Throughout their 48 years of matrimony, Annie exemplified unwavering devotion to her husband and displayed profound love and care as a mother to their children. Her thoughtful nature, insightful wisdom, and lighthearted humor brought joy to those around her. She was a member of Jesus People Ministries, serving with dedication as a Prayer Counselor.
