Obituary
Arthur Lucas, Jr., was born on October 9, 1947, in Miami, Florida, to Arthur Lucas, Sr., and Bernear Lucas. Arthur accepted Christ at an early age.
Arthur Jr. received his grade and high school education in Miami, Florida. Arthur graduated from Booker Washington High School in 1967.
Arthur was the eldest of five siblings, Harry Brown, Lillie Mustipher, Elliot Lucas, and Leetta Sherman.
Arther met Christell, Linda whom he married, and they continued on a life as husband and wife. To this union, three children were born.
Arthur worked for Miami Dade County School Board for more than 30 years until retirement.
Arther enjoyed the holidays and family gatherings. He enjoyed mostly a good football game and good food on the weekends. He also enjoyed quiet time sitting on his front porch and patio with his neighbors soaking up the sunshine and fresh air.
On September 27, 2023, Arthur Lucas, Jr., was called home. Arthur Lucas, Jr., was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Lucas, Sr., and his mother, Bernear Lucas, wife, Christell Lucas, and sister, Leeta Sherman.
Arthur leaves his memories to cherish to his children, Dr. Angela Lucas-Mumfort (Ronald), Michelle Benjamin (Peter), Eric Lucas, and Judge Lucas; siblings, Harry Brown, Lillie Mustipher, and Elliot Lucas; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
