Obituary

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1

A Time to Be Born
Chandra D. Hamilton, affectionately known as “Stanka,” was born on October 11, 1961, to the late Larry Johnson of Miami, Florida, and Marian Fedrick of Cairo, Georgia. She was the youngest of six siblings. “Stanka” was lovingly raised by her aunt and uncle, Lois and Russell Hamilton, who played a significant role in her upbringing.

A Time to Grow
Chandra attended Miami Jackson Senior High School. After graduation, she blossomed into a loving and caring individual, endearing herself to many. She had a passion for fishing, playing spades, and cheering for her beloved Miami Dolphins.

A Time to Love
Chandra was renowned for her fish fries and epic backyard parties which were truly memorable. A social butterfly with an infectious personality and a no-nonsense approach to life, she believed in enjoying life to the fullest—and she did just that.

A Time to Work
Chandra dedicated 27 years of service to the Miami-Dade School Transportation department, demonstrating loyal dedication and hard work throughout her career.

A Time to Rejoice

A Time of Mourn
Chandra was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Deborah Jones and Beverly King; brother, Andra Fedrick; and grandson, Timothy Carswell.

A time to Rest;
On December 29, 2024, Chandra D. Hamilton was called to rest in accordance with Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” She entered her Master’s joy and bid this world adieu.
