Obituary
Chevas Thompson was born November 24, 1982, to his loving parents, Owen and Sandra Thompson, at North Miami General Hospital. They lived in Miami Gardens, Florida along with his older brother, Owen Desmond Thompson.
Growing up Chevas attended Hialeah Elementary, Miami Springs Middle, and Carol City High School and graduated in the year of 2001. After graduation Chevas went to trade school to become a massage therapist, but after graduating he was hired to work at UPS. Chevas was a dedicated worker. Chevas worked as a loader than a scanner on to becoming a driver. He worked for UPS 25 years until the Lord called him home.
Chevas was humorous, knowledgeable, loving, kindhearted, and devoted to his family and friends. He was as his grandmother would say, "a jack of all trades." He can do all types of handyman work, such as work on his car, technical skills, putting things together, and installing things.
On December 31, 2019, Chevas made his mother proud by choosing to walk with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. He was baptized by Dr. Bishop Fedlyn Beason and joined (the church) Davie Community Worship Center.
When the Lord called Chevas home he left behind his father, Owen; mother, Sandra; brother, Owen Desmond; his daughters, Aalicya and Jada; niece, Desjah; nephews, Daniel, David, and Silas; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and in-laws.
