Obituary

The life of Christine Plummer began on May 20, 1932, in Savannah, Georgia, where she was born to the late Lorraine Denton and George Denton, but was raised by her late grandmother.

She transitioned on June 17, 2024, in Miami at the age of 92. Christine relocated to Pahokee, Florida, to live with her Mother Lorraine Denton at the age of 20, where she met her late husband, Johnny Lee Plummer, and settled in Miami, Florida, in Overtown and later moved to Scott’s Projects in Liberty City.

Christine enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, and planting in her garden. She was the heart and soul of the family and a prayer warrior with a joyful spirit, but didn’t take know mess. She was a giving and caring person her smile would lift and light up an entire room and she will be truly missed.

Christine is preceded in death by Calvin Wilson, Perry Plummer, Herbert Lee Plummer, Floyd Plummer, Jr., and Perrinisha Plummer.

Those left to cherish precious memories of her are: daughters, Virginia Glass and Loretta Wilson; Goddaughter, Margaret Harrington; sons, Floyd Lee Plummer, Jerome Plummer, and Bernard Plummer; grandchildren, Anthony Wilson, Anturella Wilson, Stephanie Plummer, Kristina Days, Derek Days, Sr., Perry Plummer, Jr., Calvin Plummer, Trevon Jones; great-grandchildren, Janiyah Wilson, Amiyah Watson, Alanah Wilson, Amir Wilson, Paris Holloway, Madison Days, Mackenzie Days, Erin Holloway, Derek Days, Jr. (grandma called him her man),  Milani Days; and a host of cousins and friends.

Memories grow and memories fade, but memories of grandma never go away. Her smile rests in ours; her hands helps us sew; her love fills our hearts; and her spirt runs through our soul.

In memory of our grandma, the trunk of our tree. Her legacy will live through us.
