Obituary
On September 8, 1950, Dale Erwin Knowles, Sr., was born in Miami, Florida to the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert O. Knowles, Sr. He was the seventh child born to this union.
Dale received his education through the Miami-Dade public school system and graduated from Miami Carol City Senior High School, Class of 1968.
Dale joined the United States Army where he was a Military Police Officer, and rose to the rank of Sergeant. He loved and was proud to serve his country. After he retired from the military, he began a new career path as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, where he worked until he retired in 2014.
Dale had a passion for cooking and he loved cooking for his family and friends.
Dale gave his life to Christ and became a member of Northwest Baptist Church.
On Monday, May 6, 2024, Dale answered the call to be with the Lord. He will forever be missed.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Melvin Knowles, Nelvin Monroe, Franklin Knowles, and Cheryl Knowles; brother-in-law, Joe Lynn, Sr.; nieces, Janelle Lynn and Brittney Howard; and nephew, Garry Knowles.
Dale leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Dale E. Knowles, Jr. (Alfreda), Michael Knowles, Benjamin Knowles, all of Athens, GA, and Damari Knowles of Port St. Lucie, FL; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Albert O. Knowles, Jr. (Mary) of Phoenix, AZ; three sisters, Gilda Lynn, Sandra Knowles, and Felecia Knowles, all of Miami, FL; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
