Obituary

Daris Kenton Scott, the twin to Karis Scott, the youngest to the proud parents of Gregory and Edwina Stanley.

As a youth Daris, a quiet, polite, well-mannered individual attended Dada County School where he completed his studies at American High School. He gained his spiritual beliefs and teachings at a young age through the ministry of New Birth Baptist Church from the leadership of Victor Curry.

He continued his life journey with several job opportunities and while gaining certain skills he landed the opportunity of working within a Distribution Company (Boeing) which he enjoyed going for over 10 years.

On October 19, 2023 God opened the gates of Heaven and invited Daris to come on in to unite with his sister (TIYANA) and brothers (DELRECO, and KARIS) along with dad, Greg, Vicki, Leon, Lawrence, Reggie, Carl, Alma, and Ruby.

He has left to mourn: a devoted mother, Edwina Stanley (Jefferson); nephews, Lloyd Jr., Liam, and Logan; niece, LaZaria’; godsister, Tiyondra Frager; brother-in-law, Lloyd Godfrey; aunts, Dorothy Jackson, Lula Hepburn Futch, Angela Ragin (Marshall), Gloria Holland (Adolphus), Zena Coryatt, Crystal Scott, Darlynn Scott, Cathy Hill; uncles, Lonnie Scott, Edward (Maria), Lonnie (Patrice), Anthony, Michael (Carol), Butch (Sandy), Derrick (Johnnie Mae), Kenneth Hayes; special thanks to Fannie Scott and a host of other sorrowing family and friends.
