Obituary

On May 2, 1976, God blessed Eugene Taylor and Ella Washington with a very happy and handsome son by the name of David DeAngelo Washington, Sr. “ManMan”, the second born of five children.

As a child, David “ManMan” enjoyed playing practical jokes on his younger siblings.

He attended Dade County public schools, including Douglas Elementary School, Booker T. Washington Middle School, and Miami Northwestern High School. He was in the band.

As a teenager, he began to help mold his younger brothers into young men.

David’s first job was at a McDonald’s as a cashier. He eventually earned his way to the management position. He held down a variety of restaurant jobs,

David “ManMan” was raised in the church and gave his life to Christ at a young age.

He has always been very social; the life of any party. He enjoyed music, dancing, fashion, and playing spades. If you knew David “ManMan”, you’ll know he loved his kids, his favorite color was purple, and he was a 49ers fan.

David “ManMan” was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Taylor; two brothers, Jermaine Washington and Courtney Smith; and one sister, Justine Comer.

He leaves in mourning: mother, Ella L. Washington; two sons, David DeAngelo Washington, Jr., and Da’Von DeAndre Washington; two daughters, Shanyah Washington and Jaliyah Bryant; one grandson, Da’Von Washington, Jr. “D2”; five sisters, Lynnicka Washington, Tawanna Woods Butler, Jacklyn Tawriss, Anika Taylor, and Tameka Duncan; two bonus sisters, Ruchaka Williams and Kakeshia Scott; three brothers, Tashumba Washington, Lenthius Bartly, and Eugene Taylor; one brother-in-law, Mauricio Butler; four aunties, Portia Washington, Adell Washington, Deandra Washington, and Tyronda Washington; one uncle, Lamare Washington; godmother, Harriette Grays; and a host of nieces, nephews, godbrothers and sisters, cousins, and friends; and one best friend, Daniel Culpepper “BraBra”.
