Obituary
Dewey McClain was born August 1, 1962, in Miami, Florida, to the late Benjamin Daniels and the late Gloria McClain. He had three brothers and four sisters, some of whom preceded him in death.
Dewey was educated in Miami-Dade County public schools. He loved sports and was a loyal die-hard fan of any Miami Team, yes, even the Miami Dolphins. He had a genuinely magnetic personality. Children and animals were drawn to him. He continued in the footsteps of his father as an entrepreneur. Dewey was very gifted in landscaping and enjoyed making plants grow. He loved watching the rain and the smell of it. It was soothing to him.
“Ain’t nothing like family,” he would always say.
Dewey dedicated his life to Jesus Christ in 2009, and was on a mission to lead as many souls to,”Sweet Jesus” as he could. He graduated from Faith Bible Institute.
On June 1, 2010, Dewey joined in holy matrimony to the hand of Patricia Ann Jackson. Their family was blended with two children from previous relationships, KoSheka Bradley, Dewey’s daughter, and Jabari W. Bryant, a stepson.
Dewey leaves to mourn: his wife, Patricia Ann Jackson; daughter, KoSheka Bradley; stepson, Jabari W. Bryant; six grandchildren, the late Mark, Anthony, Aiden from his daughter, Jaiden C. Rouza, Giannah E. Jackson, and Kaylin S. Bryant from his stepson; five sisters, Maureen Lee of Georgia, Pamela Brown (Richard) of Kentucky, and Iris McClain of Miami; one brother, Cyrus McClain (Regina) of South Miami; one uncle, Albert McClain of Missouri; three brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
