Obituary
A son was born on September 8, 1959, to Juria Edwards and Herbert Dennis in the small district of old Pasture, St. Elizabeth in Jamaica.
Doltan attained his early education at Burnt Savannah Primary, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. At age nine, Doltan along with his mother and sisters migrated to Nassau, the Bahamas, where he continued to pursue his education by attending the R. M. Bailey High School in Nassau.
After graduating from high school, he pursued a career in Electrical Engineering, which was his field of study.
In 1979, he migrated to the United States, where he started to do Glazier Job installing windows and screen doors. Doltan thought that was not fast enough, so he moved on to work with the Parks and Recreation department. He then continued his studies where he attained his CDL License. After attaining his CDL License, he was employed to fuel airplanes at the Miami International Airport where he worked for 30 years.
Doltan did not have any children of his own, but he was an exceptional father figure to his nieces and nephews whom he cared for always.
Doltan loved to travel, and he loved the beach and being outdoors.
Doltan was up and about until April 13, 2024, where he went home to be with the Lord. Doltan is survived by his mother, Junia; four sisters, Pauline, Patsy, Lovern, and Leonie; aunt, Lineava; uncle, Utan; and nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives.
Our hearts still ache with sadness and many tears still flow. What it means to lose you, no one will never know. Take your rest, Doltan. We love you, but Jesus loves you best. Goodbye, goodbye.
