Obituary

A Time to Be Born
Donald Eugene Wellman, Jr., known as “Gotti” and “Jasonwitdamask,” was born on September 28, 1982, in Miami, Florida, to Donald Wellman and Retha Mae Wellman.

A Time to Live
Gotti attended Miami Carol City Senior High School. Gotti was known for ranking on someone, telling a story, or simply being himself; he made every moment memorable. His passion for music led him to become a member of “Soulja Fam” before making a name for himself in the rap battle community as “Jasonwitdamask.” He was equally passionate about his beloved New England Patriots, proudly defending his team in every conversation.

A time to transition
On June 15, 2026, the councils in heaven held a meeting to declare that Gotti had completed the assignment he was given.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Retha Mae Wellman, whose absence he deeply felt throughout his life. Today, we find comfort in believing they have been joyfully reunited in the presence of the Lord.

A Time to Mourn
Gotti leaves to mourn: his loving father, Donald Wellman; six children, D’airyon, Da’mari, Da’traun, Danaray, Di’Amani, and Da’Jah; a brother, Elvis Sparks; a sister, Rena Kellem; a host of nieces and nephews: Denzil, Danielle, Desire, Desmomd, Dylan, Shamar, Shanya, Shania, and Sa’manii; a host of aunties and three uncles: Jerril Dean Kellem, Shelia Williams, Annias Marie Deisus, Tracie Daniels, Robinetta Daniels, Casey Daniels, Tiwanna Daniels, Alvin Kellem, Yurell Kellem, and Tony Deisus; a devoted partner, Quisha; a host of cousins, including two close cousins, Shavonia and Shanavia Dobson; and close friends who rode with him to the end.
