Donovan Francis was born on January 26, 1964, in St. Mary, Jamaica, to the Marian Clementina Francis and Elphus Morgan. As a young boy, Donovan moved to Port Antonio where he attended Titchfield High School and actively played on the football (soccer) team as a goalkeeper.

Everyone who knew Donovan well, knew how he loved to tell stories and bad jokes. He was a big fan of the Miami Heat basketball team and the Miami Dolphins football team.
