Obituary
Sister Dorothy Campbell Dingle was born August 22, 1959, in Lithonia, Georgia, to Miss Carolyn Campbell and the late Mr. Norman Love.
After moving to Miami in 1960, Dorothy began her early education in the Miami Dade County Public School System. She attended Carol City Elementary, Earlington Heights, Madison Middle, and graduated from Miami Central Senior High School. She also attended Miami Dade Community College.
On October 15, 1987, Dorothy married Mr. Lincoln Dingle, and to this union one son, Brian Dingle, was born. Mr. Lincoln was also stepfather to Cristal Campbell. Dorothy was also the stepmother to one son, Lamar Dingle.
Sister Dingle was employed at Shadow Lawn Elementary and ME’s Office, Southeast Bank. She retired from the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier after thirty-one years of dedicated service.
Sister Dorothy Dingle joined the Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Elder Frazier Arnold, Jr. She loved Christ and loved to fellowship with the brothers and sisters in Christ. Dorothy was a loving and devoted mother and friend. She was a fun loving person. She loved shopping and being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
We thank God for all of the good times he allowed us to share with her. Dorothy stood tall and was always strong, even in the most difficult times. She walked with confidence in the name of Jesus. She was the light of our lives and will be forever missed.
On May 4, 2023, God called Dorothy Campbell Dingle from labor unto rest. She leaves to celebrate her life and to mourn her passing: a devoted husband, Mr. Lincoln Dingle; loving and devoted children, Sister Cristal Campbell, Mr. Brian (Arnesa) Dingle, and Mr. Lamar Dingle; mother, Sister Carolyn Campbell; two sisters, Mrs. Kenya (Glenn) Coleman and Mrs. Brandi (E.J.) Reynolds; three brothers, Mr. Arnold Murray, Mr. Derrick (Karen) Love, and Xavier (Sharon) Love; one aunt, Sister Kathy Lampkin; uncle, Mr. Joseph Campbell; five grandchildren, Addison and Bella, Imani, Micah, and Jamari; two great-grandchildren, Venus and Vincent Brown; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
