A Time To Live
Ms. Earlene (Daniels) Pollock Jones was born on June 16, 1946, to the late Johnnie and Jessie Bell Daniels in Shellman, Georgia. At an early age, the family moved to Miami, Florida, and she became a life-long member at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend E.M. Thomas, and later Reverend Dr. Samuel Atchinson (Pastor Emeritus) and presently, Reverend Billy Strange, Jr.
She would later graduate from Booker T. Washington High School in June of 1964 and would get married to McCloskey Pollock, Sr., in September of 1964 and from this union, two sons would be born, McCloskey (POE) Pollock, Jr., in 1965 and Mark E. Pollock in 1972, that union was dissolved in 1990 and later on she would re-marry Morris Jones in April 2006 until his death in 2015. She was a retired employee of Jackson Health System (Jackson Memorial) where she worked for 38 years.

Earlene Jones leaves to mourn: two loving sons, McCloskey (POE) Pollock, Jr., Mark E. Pollock; three grandchildren, Cotrell Pollock, Mark E. Pollock, Jr., Ladaisha M. Pollock; a devoted sister, Emily Smith; special niece, Stephanie Aldridge; special sister-in-law, Dora Wilson; special friend, Marion Bowe; many relatives, nephews, nieces, cousins, and special niece, Diane Lawson.
