Obituary

Edna Earl Green Brown was born on August 26, 1935, to the late Otis Green and Leila Berry Green in Dublin, GA. She received her education in the Dublin County school system.

She moved to Miami, Florida, with her husband, Robert Earl Brown, and their three kids. She worked at the Dry Cleaners until 1982 when she became a homemaker to take care of her grandsons due to the death of her daughter, Jackie. She was more than their grandmother; she was their mother and she called them her boys. She was very outspoken and meant what she said and said what she meant. She will let you know when you’re right or wrong. No sugar coating either.

She visited Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church and Peaceful Zion Missionary Baptist Church from time to time.

Edna reunion occurred in Heaven on July 22, 2023, one of the most sweeties and joyful kind. She was reunited with her loved ones who preceded her in death, her parents, Otis and Leila Green; brother, Clyde Green; husband, Robert Earl Brown; children, Larry, Wayne, and Jackqueline; great granddaughter, Melaine Malone. She is smiling and catching up on the time they were apart. She hopes this reunion will lessen our hearts of pain as she celebrates the love and joy she is feeling. She is looking down on us saying, “One day, my loved ones, y’all will join this lovely reunion.” My GOD. My GOD, what a reunion.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Cheryl Thompson (David) and Angleque Moore; grandsons, Demetric Malone (Tomika), Antwan and Tyvon Brown, Kenneth Rozier (Lalora), and Broderick and Deidrick Moore;  granddaughters, LaKesha Brown-Thomas, Kinyardetta Rozier, Chrystal Thompson, Kolandra Thompson, Khadijah Thompson, Tynique Kinchen, and Theola Hudson; great-grandchildren, Lakendra King, Daniel King, Jr., Brandi King, Davonta King, Devin King, Demetria Malone, Jeremiah Williams, Twana Hill, Randy Randolph, Lamark Randolph, Kindrinna Randolph, Tyree Rozier, Kenneth Rozier, Jr., Kemoni Rozier, Khanaruis Thompson, Johnny Williams, Bryson Dauphin, Sa’Naii Eliassaint, A’Nahla Dias, Jeffry Jenkins III, Heiress Clark, Angela and Tangela Johnson, Zamari Moore, Christine Kinchen, and Kalani Octavien; great-grandson, Marquan Byrd, Jr.; nephew, Joseph Johnson; nieces, Monique Christian and Theresa Williams; half-brother, Jack O’Neal of Dublin, GA; half-sister,  Martha Green of California; sister-in-law, EllaMae Smith; godchildren, Frankie Lee Davis and Vanessa Williams; and a host of cousins and friends.
