Obituary
Ella Mae Little, b.k.a. “Jan,” was born on August 13, 1970, in Cheriton, VA. She was raised during her childhood in Homestead, FL, and attended many
schools across Miami-Dade County during those years and worked different jobs across South Florida throughout her adult years.
“Lady J,” “Ms. Jan,” or “Auntie,” as everyone called her in the neighborhood, was always known for carrying her speaker playing her old school music and dancing and was best known for her famous making of “collard greens.” Jan had two quotes which she would speak and was known for saying which were, (1) “I make and break the rules on-me,” and (2) John 14:1-2 “Let not your hearts be troubled. In my father’s house there are many mansions, if it were not so I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you.”
On June 4, 2023, Jan transitioned and when on to be with her Lord and Savior. She leaves in mourning: her beloved sisters and brother, Michelle (Darrell), Pamela (Bobby), Antonio Charles (Michelle), and Larry; nieces, Shontravia, Lykeba, Shaveka, ShyLnn, Quateria, Kisikye, and Charlse; nephews, Marcus, Charles, Corey, Jaequan, and KaCerian; great-nieces, Derionna, Casey, Hannah, and Journii; great-nephew, Treandous; and a host of other loving and caring family members.
