Obituary

On August 14, 1960, in Miami, Florida, Edward Fisher and Mary Lou Ross welcomed their beautiful daughter Elouise Fisher into their growing family, best known as “Wezzy.” Wezzy held a close tie with her siblings, Eddie, Larry, Clarence, John, Edward, the late Rebert, and Virgil.

Obtaining her early education thought Miami Dade County public school system, Weezy graduated from Miami Jackson Senior High School. Shortly after high school, she begin her journey into motherhood, giving birth to five phenomenal children, Elonda, Latron, Dion, Krystal, and her baby girl, Brittany, to whom she devoted all her time, effort, and love. Elouise was a stay-at-home mother who enjoyed every aspect of that role. Through her children, she was able to become a very active grandmother, which some might say that she took even more pride in Chad, King, Kyon, Kyron, Antiliqwa, Azayria, Garyell, Elaijah, and Jermari, and her great-grands, Tarai and Josiah. Elouise invested so much into making sure everyone was loved, celebrated, nurtured, well-fed, and knew how to stand up for themselves. Family was the most important thing to her, and it was more than evident through her actions.

In 2020, she rekindled with the love of her life, Jeffery Smith, with whom she lived a beautiful life. Jeff was the perfect example of a man; he proposed to her, spoiled her, and made sure she wanted for nothing. They traveled, laughed, partied, and loved each other unconditionally.

Gaining stepchildren, creating a bond with Jasmine that goes beyond understanding, and comforting Jeff as he grieved the loss of his own mother, Elouise brought so much joy to him, and even the little headaches made it all worth it.

Desiring more, she begin a career with Brillant Star as a caregiver, extending her nurturing essence to those in need. She truly enjoyed working and building a friendship with her co-workers and clients.

Elouise enjoyed the fun side of life; you rarely saw her down. She threw some of the best parties, cooked the best food, was extremely outspoken, and always said what was on her mind. She was the ultimate straight shooter. She loved going to the casino with her son, Tron, playing cards her friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. She opened her home to many and truly had a heart of gold. Even when her health wasn’t the best, she would always find a way to bring joy into any situation.

On March 5, 2025, Elouise unexpectedly transitioned from this earthly realm into the peaceful arms of God. She will be sadly missed by so many, but we will cherish the many memories of the time we shard with her day to day.

She leaves behind to cherish in those memories: her beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, fiancée, brothers, sisters-in-law, stepchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of very close friends. Our lives truly won’t be the same without you, “Wezzy.”
