Obituary

On October 15, 1951, in Miami, Florida, the Lord blessed the late Henry Kelly and Cora Coney with a beautiful baby girl, Ethel Lee Kelly. Ethel was also welcomed by her sister, Essie Kelly.

Growing up, Ethel was a good child, and her family gave her the nickname “Sista”. Ethel Kelly graduated from Coral Gables Senior High School, and after graduating she begin working as an recruiting assistant for the United States Army.

Ethel decided to further her education by attending and graduating from Berry University, obtaining a degree in nursing. While working as a private duty nurse, Ethel met Jorge Trigo, Sr., and this union was blessed with four children, Telisa, Jorge Jr., Antonio, and Letisha. Ethel later met Steve Wilcher and they spent the last twenty-eight years together.

Ethel was preceded in death by her son, Antonio, her mother, Cora Coney, and father, Henry Kelly.

On June 18, 2024, our beloved heavenly father called Ethel home to rest. She leaves to cherish her unforgettable memories: her three children, Telisa, Jorge Jr., and Letisha; a sister Essie Williams (Leroy); her life partner, Steve Wilcher, Jr.; and a host of grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
