Obituary
Francine Altidor was the third eldest among seven siblings born on June 22, 1943, in St. Louis-de-Nord, Haiti. Francine received her formal education in Haiti, where she developed a love for learning. As a young girl along with her siblings, she entered the family business of agriculture and farming. In 1970, Francine migrated to Nassau, Bahamas, where she set out to make a better life for herself and her family. Anticipating the American dream, she moved to the United States in 1978 with her two sons, Jacinth and Gana. Onward to a new life, the family welcomed her youngest son, Norton. Francine and her boys accepted Miami as their home until God called her new heavenly home on November 22, 2023.
Francine Altidor accepted Christ at a young age and actively participated in missionary work within her community in St. Louis-de-Nord, Haiti. Francine Altidor treasured church, family, and her dearest friends.
After migrating to the United States, Francine continued her mission with Christ by attending the Cathedral of St. Mary Catholic Church in Little Haiti. It was here where she took pride in her devotion to the Lord, enjoying listening to the sermons, singing, and praying. Francine always reminded others to pray to God, and he would provide. Her hard work, dedication, and love for family traditions were immeasurable. Francine was generous woman who was grateful and humble.
To Francine motherhood was important, and she enjoyed bestowing love onto her sons. Many times, you would find her in her happy place, dancing with one of the boys on any given occasion. That spirit is the love that she has left with them and will carry on in their hearts forever.
On November 22, 2023, Francine Altidor completed her life’s mission and returned to her heavenly home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will forever be remembered for her unconditional love and charitable work.
Cherishing precious memories of Francine Altidor are her devoted children, Ernest of St. Luis-de-Nord, Haiti, Jacinth Joseph (LaDeshia Joseph) of Miami, Florida, Gana Joseph (Karen Joseph) of Wasilla, Alaska, and Norton Altidor (Jessie Altidor) of Tampa, Florida; brother, J.
