Obituary

Isaac Johnson was born on October 31, 1941, along with his twin sister, Rebecca, to Mamie and Ned Johnson II in Rincon, Georgia. However, the courthouse burned down and Isaac was given a new birthdate of October 24 ,1941. Both birthdays were happily celebrated each year. Isaac was one of eighteen children fathered by Ned Johnson II. Isaac attended school in Effingham County, Georgia. Although Isaac did not complete school, that didn't hinder or stop him from being a great provider for his family. Isaac later moved to Florida, where he began his forty-one year career with Ryder Trucking Company. Isaac began as a truck washer; however, his drive, persistence, and work ethic promoted him to the position as a diesel mechanic, until his retirement. Isaac was known for always being two hours early to work to make sure he was never late and always on time.

While living in Florida, Isaac met the love of his life, Mary Alice Jordan, through a mutual friend. Isaac saw the confidence of Mary as well as the fine silhouette of a woman and he was instantly smitten. Isaac courted Mary Alice, despite the fact she lived in New York. The long-distance courting was short lived, and Mary Alice moved to Florida where they later became husband and wife on September 12, 1968. Their union produced three beautiful daughters, Sharon, LaSandra, and lsazetta. Their union was built on LOVE, PATIENCE, and UNDERSTANDING and lasted forty-eight years until the passing of his beloved Mary Alice. Isaac's love for Mary grew even stronger through the years up until the moment he took his last breath. They are together again in the hands of GOD.

Isaac loved GOD and although he never formally joined a fellowship, Isaac prayed and read his bible every day. You could hear him singing "Jesus Loves Me." The love he had for GOD poured out to his children, grandchildren, and great-grands. Isaac was a provider and protector, and held no punches. Isaac was strong and caring all at the same time. His strength was present until he was called home. What a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend he was. His love will be carried on through us.

Isaac left the physical on July 22, 2024, to join his beloved wife, Mary Alice, where they are reunited as GUARDIAN ANGELS of the Johnson Family.

Isaac was preceded in death by his parents, Mamie and Ned Johnson II, and thirteen siblings.

Cherishing Isaac's memories are: his devoted daughters, Sharon, Lasandra and lsazetta "Divine" Johnson; beloved grandchildren, Sherena, Sharonda, and Sharod Johnson, Demonti Pipkin, Leonard Goshine II, and Lyric Johnson; loving great-grandchildren, lmani Cearnal, Anthony Darling, Arya and Connor Bryan, Amaryah and Alayah Darling, and Santana Johnson; caring siblings, Annie Bell Brown, Mary Lee Scott, Lue Ethel Johnson, and Ravenell Johnson; he will be deeply missed by his honorary son, Monty Pipkin; amongst a host of additional nieces, nephews, and friends.
