Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we celebrate the life of Jeanette Virginia Greene, affectionately know as Jazzie, who was born on January 13, 1958, in Miami, Florida to her loving parents, Marion and Doris Greene. After a fulfilling career as a phone operator at Bell South/AT&T, Jeanette retired, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service.

Jeanette was a remarkable woman—prideful, vibrant, and the very essence of joy. Her infectious love for fun and zest for life drew people to her warm spirit. A true entertainer at heart, she delighted in reciting lines from her favorite movie, "The Color Purple", and often bought laughter with quotes from her favorite comedian, Bernie Mac, famously declaring "milk and cookies."

Jeanette leaves behind her loving partner, Thomas Hundley, and her three devoted brothers, Jackie, Jeffrey, and Jerome Greene. As a proud mother, Jeanette is also survived by her daughters, Shenicka Greene-Gaskin, Eleanor Cooper (whom she adored as a niece/daughter), and her late daughter Treanna Brown. She was also the adoring grandmother of Shanyce, Mar'Shay, Asia, Kayla, and Kyle and a beloved great-grandmother to Alexander, Aiden, Jace, Erimaris, and Maleya. Jeanette's circle of love extended to her dear friends, Sandra (Gail), Cora (Van), Princess, Linda, Deborah, Thelma, Julya, and Marilyn, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Though she will be deeply missed, Jeanette's joyful spirit and the love she shared will continue to inspire all who knew her.
