Obituary
Jerri Dean Butler was born on January 21, 1939, to Mr. L.B. and Florrie Mae Harris in Mergs, Georgia. She moved to Miami, Florida with her parents as a child.
A God-fearing woman, Jerrie accepted Christ into her life at an early age. Jerrie served as a faithful member and Mother of God’s Temple of Authority in Miami, Florida.
While living in her new city of Miami, Florida, Jerrie attended Miami Northwestern Senior, where she graduated in 1957. Jerrie obtained a college education in accounting while residing in the city of Philadelphia.
Jerrie worked for a number of years for the Dade County School Board as a teacher. Later, she continued her love of teaching and became a pre-school teacher at Michael’s Kindergarten until her retirement.
On March 3, 2024, Lord called Jerrie home to rest. Jerrie was preceded in death by her parents, L.B. and Florrie-Mae Harris, and grandchildren, Monique Butler and Diabolique Butler.
Jerrie leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Christopher Harris, Stevy Butler, Duane Butler (Antoinette), Angela Butler-Baring, and Elliott Butler; and grandchildren, Stevy Jr., Ebony, Chyneathia (Timothy), Altaria, Ivory, Jasmis (Corine), Antwan, Duane Jr. (Maria), Karon (Dorothy), Shakur, Areyl, Trishtin, Venice, McKayla, Michael, and Ezekiel. Jerrie was blessed with 51 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of loving friends and family.
