Obituary

Johnnie Brown, Jr., was born on November 10, 1950, in
Americas, Georgia, to the late Essie B. Colbert and Johnnie
Brown, Sr. Johnnie attended Orchard Villa Elementary,
Dorsey Junior High, and Miami Northwestern Senior High
School, where he received his high school diploma. Johnnie
was employed at Decor Steel Center as a delivery driver.
Due to health reasons, Johnnie retired at an early age.
On April 11, 2023, Johnnie Brown, Jr., heard the Lord calling
him, “Come take your rest in the arms of Jesus Christ.”
Johnnie was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Brown,
Sr.; mother, Essie Bea Willis; and stepfather, Freddie Lee
Willis.
Johnnie Brown Jr. leaves to cherish his memories: his wife,
Elizabeth Dinson Brown; only child, Robert A. Brown (Lisa
Brown), granddaughter, Ashonti Brown; grandsons, Robert,
Jr., and Channen Brown; sisters, Virginia Sharpe (Jimmy Lee),
Freddie Mae Lance, and Alfreda Willis; brothers, Phil Willis
(Mimi), Eddie Willis (Sherri), and Roger Willis (Regina);
and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other family, and
friends.
