Obituary
Judith Lacresha Belle, a ectionately known as “Judy,” was born February 24, 1969, at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, to the late James and Juanita Belle. Judy was their eldest child and the “apple of their eye.” She was a blessing sent from God and brought joy to their lives.
Judy received her primary education in the Miami-Dade County public school system, graduating from Miami Springs Senior High School, class of 1987. She went on to attend Florida Memorial College and graduated from Trinity International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interpersonal and Group Communication in 2003.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was baptized at the Apostolic Revival Center under the leadership of Dr. Gilbert S. Smith. She was married until 2021. God was her life, and she talked about God to everyone she met, was always judgement-free with a caring ear, and le them with an encouraging word and/or prayer. Judy put her heart in everything she did; you felt her love. She loved to sing; she had an angelic, amazing voice and used it to honor and serve God. She sung at weddings, church functions, and if you were blessed, you were surprised with a singing gram (thinking of you, birthday, etc.) on your phone’s voicemail.
Judy also witnessed to and fed the homeless with her non-profit organization, Inspirationally Sounds, Inc. Although Judy was battling her own medical/physical issues, she didn’t allow them to limit or stop her from giving support, showing concern, and sharing God’s love within her with others.
Judy worked for the state of Florida Department of Health for many years before transitioning to the Miami-Dade County Corrections and Rehabilitation Department, retiring in 2017. She was a committed and dedicated employee. To know her was to love her. Judy also loved to cook and bake. This was a talent she learned from her mom. She was a passionate baker and was affectionately known as the “Cookie Lady,” although she baked a variety of assorted delights that felt like comfort/love food as consumed.
On March 12, 2023, God welcomed Judith into His kingdom and blessed her with well-deserved wings. She is now with her mother and father, sister, Jamesi’, and brother, Julian.
Judy leaves to mourn: her sisters, Josette (Kimberly Robinson-Belle), Bridgette Reid; brother in law, Anthony Ferguson; niece, Mackenzie; nephews, Nicholas, Destry; spiritual daughter, LaKeisha Fair; aunts, Charlie Mae Newbold, Connie (Anthony) Swain, Cynthia Mosley, Gail Jones and Debra Adderly; uncle, George Green; a sister from another mother, Edda Joseph; bonus niece and nephew, Imani and Luc Jr.; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and loving friends.
