Obituary
Kirby White was born on December 28, 1964 in Miami, FL to the late James Matthews and Annie Pearl Gilt He was the seventh of eight children, three preceded him in death, Ardis Johnson, Beverly London and Vickie Boykins.
Kirby began his education at Opa-Locka Elementary then on to Westview middle and finally finishing" at North Miami Senior High School where he was a member of the basketball team.
Growing up in a household full of siblings, he learned the importance of family values and faith attending Sunday service regularly at Mount Zion AME guided him and gave him a foundation he would keep throughout his life. As a adult he joined Greater New Bethel and he Continued his membership there until his passing.
Kirby began his journey into the workforce at an early age, gaining a sense of responsibility and pride. His employment at South Florida State Hospital was long standing until its closing in 1997. Later he developed an interest and love for golf and was gainfully employed with Hollybrook Golf Course where he retired as the maintenance Supervisor in 2075,
On February 21, 2021, Kirby was married to Shelia Hill. She was his devoted wife, staying by his side in his recent illness.
In the afternoon on June 11, 2026, God saw fit to call His good and faithful servant home.
Kirby leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving wife Shelia Hill White; daughters, Gloria Tobler, Shawanna, Nettise, and Dawn Hill; two sisters Deloris Johnson and Tracy White, two brothers Allen (Doris) White and Ronnie (Annie) White, three sisters-in-law Delorse Johnson, Lisa Golden and Lenora Hill, one brother-in-law Charles Hill and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
