Obituary
Mr. Leon Butler, Jr., was born to the late Leon Butler, Sr., and the late Mary Davis in Miami, Florida.
Leon received his education in the Dade County School System. Early in his career, Leon worked for Goodyear Tire County. He eventually moved on to work as a Truck Driver for McArthur Dairy for many years before retiring.
In 1966, Leon married Rosa Phillips and out of this union two daughters, Angela and Lashawn were born.
On June 19, 2024, Leon was called home to be with the Lord. Leon had an infectious spirit and made friends wherever he went. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Preceding him in death are his brothers, George Hall, Jr. and Joe Davis; sisters, Bertha Mae Hall, Adele Hall, Barbara Jean Butler, Carolyn Powell, and Leona Davis.
He leaves to mourn: his two daughters, Angela (Prince) Gibson and Lashawn Butler; brother, Michael (America) Thompson; sisters, Sharon Mathis and Norman Charles; four beautiful grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
