Obituary
Linda Diane Cope was born on October 20, 1953, in Miami, Florida. Linda, who was so affectionately known as “Diane”, was born to Booker T. Cope, Sr., and Elizabeth Haynes.
Diane received her education in Miami, Florida, at an early age. Diane accepted Christ and joined 93rd Street Community Baptist Church.
To know her, was to love her. And if you knew her, then you knew that if ever in her presence, you could most definitely expect to hear a little smack talking. Okay, maybe a lot.
While Diane was known to be a swift and jazzy talker, she was also known as a generous giver; often giving to many of her neighbors within her community.
Certainly, in true Diane fashion, she will burst Heaven’s doors wide open, barking orders at her siblings, Patricia Lawton, Barbara Thurston, Evelina Brown, Henry Brown, Walter Brown, Renee Brown, Michael Cope, Robert Cope, and Anthony Cope.
Diane’s soul will forever be loved by: children, Eric Clinkscale (Sonya), Corona Threats (Larry), and stepson, Terrence Kirkland; grandchildren, Sinquista Threats, Reshard Mills, Raymon Mills (deceased), and Sequan Mills; great-grandchildren, Mariah Weaver and Ma’kayla Weaver; dear confidant of many, many years, Earl Kirkland, Jr.; sister, Shirley Cottle and Jacqueline Cope Green; brothers, Booker T. Cope, Jr., and Darrin Cope; goddaughters, Precious McCall-Taylor and Kizzy Robinson; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
