Obituary
Linord Albury was born on January 23, 1971, to the late Gwenvail Lugene Albury and the late Deborah Mitchell (Marshall). Linord was known by his nickname “ShotOut” by his long-time friends and those who knew him best. He was educated through the Dade County school system and later persisted and obtained his GED through the prison system. In his early days he was a troublesome youth, but the seed and the word of the Lord Jesus was planted in him by his grandmother and other family members whom he adored. He ran from God for many years until he surrendered and fully gave God his life and committed himself to making a change. A part of that change was f ighting the addiction to drugs when he admitted himself in the Salvation Army’s drug program and worked as a cook for the whole facility. He also became a working citizen by being a stagehand and carpenter for IATSE Local 500.
Linord was very passionate about the things and people he loved, especially his family. Family was everything to him. Linord was adamant at steering the young generation into doing the right thing as well as introducing them to Christ. That was his mission until sickness overtook his body and with the tenacity that was a part of him, he fought vigorously until he succumbed to his illness and God decided no more suffering and called him home.
He leaves to mourn the father that filled in and claimed us all as his children: Willie Marshall; daughters, ShaNaria Albury (South Carolina), Linoria Albury, and Tajjene Albury; seven grandchildren; one Godson, Chauncey Cherry; siblings, John Reese (Yvonne Reese), Abrella Albury, Shirley Bennett (Dwayne Bennett), and Anthony Marshall (Sapphira Moore); along with a host of nieces and nephews of two generations. A special thanks to Sharelle Williams, our “Niece”, and her mother, Carolyn Graham, and their entire family for their unwavering support they rendered when we needed it most. Love y’all!
