Obituary
Lorraine Veronica Shaw was born in Kingston, Jamaica on February 19, 1963, to Keith and Veta Shaw. The family migrated to Freeport Grand Bahama when Lorraine was six years old. Years later, the family moved to Miami, Florida, where Lorraine attended Alla Pattah Middle School and graduated from Edison High School.
Lorraine met and married Sergio Mesa in 1986. Their union produced two handsome sons, Daniel and Christopher.
Sweet Lorraine, as she was lovingly called, had a passion for music and science, and a deep love for animals. Lorraine was a generous person with a kind heart, always willing to help in any way she could.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her mother, Veta; sister, Andrea; grandmother, Cherry; and father, Keith.
Sweet Lorraine’s memory will be cherished by her husband, Sergio Mesa; two sons, Daniel and Christopher; four grandchildren, Nia, Akyng, Imani, and Tiana; three sisters, Susan, Tevesha, and Navell; one brother, Roan; three aunts, Lecia, Ann-Marie, and Elain; uncle, Conrad; four nieces, ten nephews, and a host of cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Lorraine was loved by all, and she will be deeply missed.
