Obituary
Lousie Bain was born to Mabelle and Herman Bain, Sr., in May of 1925 in Miami, Florida. Louise was one of six siblings (Willie Mae Nesbit, Katrina Nesbit, Lois Nesbit, Herman Bain, Jr., and Willie Bain,) all of whom preceded her in death.
Louise was raised in the church as a young girl. She loved the Lord and worshipped him all her life. Louise has been an active member of four churches located in Miami, Philadelphia, and Albany, Georgia. Regardless of where she was, Louise adamantly encouraged all she encountered to get to know God and never forget to “give the Lord the praise”. “But God” was also a guiding affirmation because Louise understood His omnipotent power surpassed man’s limited vision or understanding.
Louise received her education in the Miami- Dade School System, attending the segregated Dorsey High School until completing the 11th grade. Throughout her adult years, Louise was a homemaker for her four sons: Eddie Willie, Emanuel, Mikeal, and Anthony. She earned her living though domestic work and early childhood services. Some of Louise’s favorite things were sewing, gardening, cooking, home decorating, attending the rodeo, and watching Western movies. Louise loved family and loved love and was married several times. All her husbands preceded her in death.
Louise will forever be remembered as a devoted wife and the family’s beloved matriarch. Before dawn on Thursday morning, December 14, 2023, Jesus gently took her hand and led her to the Promised Land. Louise Bain Johnson leaves to mourn four sons, Eddie (Brenda) Blount, Emanuel (Corinne) Ward, Mikeal (Barbara) Porter, Anthony (Angela) Porter; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
