Obituary
Mattie Bell Taylor was born on March 16, 1932, in Ocholocknee, Georgia, to the late Walter and Mollie Mae Taylor. Mattie received her education from Ocholocknee, Georgia School System. While in high school, she enjoyed different activities; basketball was her most memorable.
Later in life, Mattie moved to Miami, Florida, where she began a new chapter in her life. She was a hard working women who held several jobs. Mattie was once a member of Central Faith Ministries. She served faithfully as a mother of the church. She made it her priority to spend time with her family and friends. Mattie was the last of her siblings to transitioned from this life and gained her wings. She was 92 years old; what a blessing.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Clearn; sisters, Marie, Ossie, Emma, and Jettie; sons, Author Taylor and Ernest McWhite, Jr.; daughters, Renee Mathis, Sonia Taylor, and Theresa Ables; three grandchildren, Lionel Moore, Tyrone Washington, Jr., and Trayniesha Taylor; one great-grandchild, Johnathan Cunningham, Jr.; and a life-long friend, Willie James Jenkins.
On July 27, 2024, God decided to pick one of his most precious flowers. She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters, Francia Daniels (Calvis Boykins) and Tonya Jenkins; sons, Jeffery Taylor (Tracee) and John Forbes; granddaughters, Fransetta, Stephanie, Robtisha, Robquita, Robnesha, Imani, Antionnette, Tyresa, Danielle, and Shounda; nine grandsons, Martin, Corey, Quinton, Steven, Elliot, Stephon Jr., Stephen, Jawan, and John; and a host of great-great-grandkids, other relatives, and friends.
