Obituary
McLenda Browning-Clark, affectionately known as “Mo,” was born on August 13, 1957, in Cairo, Georgia, to Lorean Browning and the late Johnny C. Browning. She was the second of six children and grew up in a close-knit and loving family.
McLenda was educated in the Dade County Public School System, where she attended Carver Elementary and North Dade Middle School, later graduating from Hialeah Miami Lakes Senior High School. She accepted Christ and remained a member of the House of God Miracle Revival Fellowship Church until her passing. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she deeply loved her church family, who brought her great joy and spiritual strength.
Throughout her career, McLenda was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She was employed with Amtrak for over ten years before joining the staff at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she continued to serve others with compassion and kindness.
On November 1, 2025, McLenda was called home to be with her Heavenly Father. She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny C. “J.C.” Browning, and her brothers, Johnny Browning, Jr., and Edward Browning.
McLenda’s memory will be cherished forever by her two beloved sons, Antwan and Anthony Browning; devoted mother, Lorean Cox Browning; and siblings, Bruce (Rosylen) Cox, Darry Browning, and Curtis (Elizabeth) Browning. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren—Jayla, Antwan Jr., Antwan (“AB”), and Bruce—along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
McLenda will be remembered for her kind heart, her distinctive laughter, her unwavering faith, and the love she shared so freely with everyone she met. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Until we meet again in our Father’s house.
