Obituary

Michael Bernard Poole was born to the late Linzie and Jannie Poole in Miami, Florida, on September 11, 1956. Michael received his education in the Miami-Dade public school system and graduated from Miami Northwestern Senior High School. On August 17, 1988, he married the love of his life and the best thing that ever happened to him, Susan Poole.

Michael was skilled with many talents. Throughout life’s journey, he worked at Jumbo’s Restaurant, at Hard Rock Stadium as an operations supervisor, and at Benji’s Auto Sales. Michael relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, in December of 2007 where he started a new career path working for the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport as a supervisor until his untimely death.

Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was the life of any party and known to be a comedian. Michael celebrated everyone’s birthday—even if you were miles away, he would call and do a birthday dance or have a birthday drink. Let’s not forget how he had a bond with his children that most people would envy. Michael was loved wherever he worked, wherever he lived, wherever he went. Anyone who knew Michael knows that he loved sports. His favorite teams were the Miami Heat, the University of Miami, and the Miami Dolphins who he predicted to be champions of the 2024 Super Bowl.

Michael received Christ at an early age and continued his relationship and communication with his Heavenly Father. On September 3, 2023, at 1:00 AM, Michael heard the voice of the Lord and he saw some familiar faces who preceded him in death, which included both of his parents, his mother-in-law, Linda, his daughter, Aynjeanette Sharee, his favorite cousin, Amanda, and his grandson, Mikall. The Lord said unto him, “It’s time to go, Michael.” He laid back and left to be with his heavenly family.

Michael is survived by: his lovely wife, Susan Poole; ten children, Nikia Coleman (Trumain), Tamika Oliver, Chiquita Poole, Michael Brown, Michael Scott (Irian), Miquesha McClain, Latoya Boston, Bernard Poole, Myquitta Poole, and Keeyahna Boston; godson, Christopher Belcarries; sisters, Mary Gatlin and Linette Robbins; brother-in-law, Joey Noble (Yolanda); father-in-law, Joseph Noble; aunts, Bertha McMath, Helen (Albert) Deberry, and Lois Oliver; best friend, Thomas “Tommy” Pinkney; bonus children, Tijuana Pope, Lakeisha Finnie, and Wanda Brown; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
