Obituary
Mother Beulah Martin Collins passed away peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Monday, December 22, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 23,1943 in Sanford, FL to the late John L. Martin, Sr. and Ellen Davis Martin. She was baptized at the age of 10 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Sanford, FL.
Sister Beulah attended Hopper Elementary School through the 8th grade. After which she attended Crooms Academy and was a member of the class of 1961. In 1971 she received a certificate from the Sawyer School of Business in Rochester, NY.
On March 6, 1965, Sister Beulah married the love of her life, Deacon Roosevelt Collins. In 1967 they moved from Florida to Penn Yan, NY. They later moved to Rochester, NY where they resided for many years before moving back to Penn Yan.
In July 1967 she, alongside her husband, became a member of Saint Paul's Community Baptist Church, now known as Saint Paul's Full Gospel Baptist Church. They were faithful members giving full support to all of the pastors that they served under, including traveling to different states to support them as they ministered the gospel. Their travel included a trip to Little Rock, AR, for the consecration of Bishop John S. Dixon in 2006.
In earlier days, she served as assistant Sunday school teacher and usher, and she also served as the church clerk for more than 20 years. She served as President of the Deaconess Ministry as well as the Mother’s Board Ministry. Mother Collins was also a member of the Pastor’s Aid, Intercessory Prayer, and Women's Ministries. She had a great love for her Lord Jesus Christ, her immediate and church families and for mankind in general. She was admired by all who knew her. She worked until her health no longer permitted her to do so.
For over 45 years she was employed by Collins Paving Construction as secretary/treasurer.
In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her house plants, holiday cooking and traveling, especially to Florida for the winter months.
