Obituary
Octavis J. Jackson was the last born to his parents Richard Jackson and Gloria L. Jackson on January 17, 1980, in Miami, Florida. His early education begun at Carol City Elementary then at Carol City Middle School he went on to Miami Carol City Senior High School, where he graduated with the class of 1998.
While in High School "OJ" as he was affectionately called had a real love for football. He was a defensive lineman for Miami Carol City High School. In 1998, "OJ" played for the football team and was also crown Homecoming King.
OJ's love for football would then take him to Florida State University where he was a defensive tackle. Florida State Seminoles in 1999 won the National Championship. OJ along with the football team go to take a picture with the then President Bill Clinton.
OJ was also an entrepreneur. After graduating from Florida State University, he started his own HVAC Business Super Cool Air Condition Company. Because of his affectionate love for people, he would repair their A/C even if they could not pay him.
On December 1, 2024, sadly Octavis J. Jackson aka "OJ" life would end too soon. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Gloria Jackson, his brothers Nino and Derrick, his sister Rachel and Aunt Connie Williams.
His memories and legacy will forever be in the hearts of those he leaves his wife Lakisha Mike; daughter Octavia; son David; Brother: Phillip; Father-in-Love RL (Gwen) Mike; Mother-in-Love Lagaya (Keita) Allen Kwame; Uncle: David (Catherine) Brown; Aunts: Nadine (Freddie) Barren; Carloyn Renfroe Garner; Joanna Brown; Darlene (Stacy) Renfroe; Maggie Brooks; Ernestine (William) Harden; Godmother: Mae Johnson, Nieces: Angel, Sade and Seirra; Nephews: Chauncy, Nirey, Davon and Patrick. He is also survived by a host of Cousins, classmates, teammates and dear friends.
