Obituary

Otha Lee Glenn went home to be with the Lord on June 3, 2024 in Miami, Florida. He was born January 21, 1943 in Prairie Point, Mississippi. The eigth child of 14 children from the union of Henry Glenn Sr. and Calvine Glenn. He accepted Christ at an early age at Christian Love Baptist Church in Prairie Point, Mississippi (now known as Macon, Mississippi). Otha went to grade school in Prairie Point, Mississippi, and later attended and graduated from BF Liddell High School in Macon, Mississippi. After graduating high school, he decided to relocate to Miami, Florida, with his brother, Lawrence (LD). Otha was employed in many capacities. He worked as a chef at Her-bet’s for many years, he also worked for Rode Engineering Contractors, as a truck driver until he retired in 2007. Otha’s interests and hobbies included fishing, reading, and watching the history channel.
 
Otha was preceded in death by two (2) sisters, Mable C. (Glenn) Bush and Catherine (Glenn) Sykes, and five (5) brothers, L.D. Glenn, Robert Curtis (R.C.) Glenn, Alford Irby, Roosevelt Irby, and Henry Glenn Jr.
 
He leaves to cherish his memories: His loving and devoted wife, Angeline Glenn; daughter, Barbara Glenn; son, Ulysses Glenn; daughter-in-law, Arctermeka; grandchildren, Tyesha, Antonio, Demetrius, Chantel, Destiny, Daniyah, and Ulysses Jr.; great-grandchildren, Aalayah, Carter, DeCory, Talia and Averie; siblings, Calvene (James) Philipps of Miami, Florida; Leotha Rogers of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Betty Howard of Cleveland, Ohio, Alice(Jerome) Wheatley of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Nathan and Larry Glenn both of Cleveland, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved.
