Obituary
A Time to be Born
Patrick Nickalos Baldwin was born on November 10, 1995, to the loving parents of Gregory Jarrod Simms and Letasha Renea (Baldwin) Bright, in Opa Locka, Florida. As the first born, Patrick’s charming and exuberant personality was cultivated by his family. He was well-loved by all, and he was particularly close to and admired by his siblings.
Patrick received his education through Miami Dade County public schools graduating from Miami Lakes Tech with his GED in 2014. Patrick had a love for fast cars, playing video games, and cooking. Patrick worked for Waste Pro, where he helped so many young men to get their fresh start in life.
On June 17, 2023, Patrick married Traneh his soulmate, best friend, and mother of his one and only daughter. During this short time, Patrick prided himself on spending time with his son Kj, whom he affectionately called K-Money.
A Time to Transition from this Life to Glory
On April 7, 2024, Patrick was called home to be with the Lord, leaving a host of family and friends to continue carrying on his legacy of love with a bright smile and serving heart.
Left to cherish the memories of Patrick’s warm heart and infectious smile are: wife, Traneh Baldwin; children, Kordale “K-Money” Jenkins and Karis “KB” Baldwin; parents, Gregory Jairod Simms, and Letasha Bright (Shavonta); mother-in-law, Jenee Scott; father-in-law, Alfonzo Thomas II; grandparents, June Baldwin, Debra Rutledge, and Gregory Simms (Ginger); sisters, E’Lexis Baldwin, Janiyah Bright, Jasmine Little, Londyn Simms, Kiarra Simms, Paris Bright, and Sommer Baldwin; brothers, Richard Lawson, Jr., and Shavonta Bright, Jr.; sisters-in-law, RaNaye Brown and Ja’liyah Thomas; brother-in-law, Aj Thomas III; niece, Kailaya Lee; nephews, Jonathan Wooden, Kaison Lee, and Braylen Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by his grandfather, Samuel Ambrose.
Pat’s impact on his family is a testament to a born-again life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments shared with those he held dear to his heart. Although Pat may not be here with us in person to drive us, work on cars, and cook, Pat’s spirit will forever shine brightly in the lives of those he touched. His legacy of love, compassion, and resilience will continue to bring us joy.
May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory live on in our hearts forever.
