Obituary

Pauline Jefferson was born on March 4, 1927, to Mr. Arthur Smith and Irene Bush Smith in Blakely, Georgia. She was educated in the Blakely, Georgia, school system.

Pauline moved to Miami, Florida, where she accepted Christ into her life and made New Birth Baptist Church into her home church.

While living in Miami, Florida, Pauline worked as a nursing assistant at the Villa Maria Nursing Center. Later, she continued her love of nursing as a private nursing assistant.

Today, as we remember Ms. Pauline, we remember a woman who loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, along with other family members, friends, and their children.

On March 29, 2024, the Lord called Pauline home to rest. Pauline was preceded in death by her son, Ulysee Jefferson, and her parents, Arthur Smith and Irene Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Edward Ealy (Charlene Ealy); sister, Juanita Leonard; nine grandkids, Perlene, Antwan, Luv, Shakeva, Tatiana, William, Kiani, Catera, and Terrika; twenty-four great-grands; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, whom she loved like her own, and sorrowing friends.
