Obituary

Reginald D. Leggett was born in Miami, Florida to the late Lois Leggett and Jerilean Jefferson. He was one of fifteen children, he lived a life with love, laughter, and kindness. He was known for his warm smile, gentle demeanor, and warm generosity.

Reggie received his elementary and secondary education at Miami Dade public schools.

Reggie worked as an entrepreneur for over 41 years, and he was respected for his dedication and hard work. He approached every task with diligence and integrity, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of dealing with him.

Reginald gave his life back to Christ. He knew the Lord as his personal savior. He was a dedicated member at New Birth Harvest Outreach ministry. He served as a local minister as well as a help to the church.

One Sunday evening, God and his infinite Angels saw fit to send his chariot of fire to transition his good and faithful servant from earth to glory on August 17, 2025, at Jackson North Medical Center. Reginald was a humble yet brave spirit; he took flight and is now resting on God’s celestial shores. He was a loving and devoted father, cherished grandfather, and dear friend to many.

Reginald finished his race and kept the faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Leggett and Jerilean Jefferson, and his brothers and sisters, Dean Jefferson, Lawrence Battle, Pam Fordham, Renee Leggett, Roland Jefferson, Cecilia Williams, Edith Williams, and Carl Leggett.

Those left behind to cherish his precious memories include a special friend, Alicia Smith; his daughter, Nakevea Clarke; son, Reginald Leggett, Jr.; grandchildren, Tykell Clarke, Jeremiah Clarke, and Justice Lewis; brothers and sisters, Loys Leggett, Jr., Delores Fordham, Carlton Leggett, Anita Leggett-Minor, and Reynard Leggett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends.
