Obituary
Ricky Jack Anthony Millien was born in Nyack, New York on February 9, 1972, to his parents Eric and Paulette Millien. Ricky received his early education at Scott Lake Elementary. He later attended Parkway Junior High and graduated from Miami Norland Senior High, class of 1991.
After graduating, Ricky joined the United States Army where he served in the Gulf War as a Primary Specialist. Ricky worked his way up to earn the ranking of E4 in which he worked as a Fighting Vehicle Infantryman (driver). Ricky served from October 15, 1991, to October 14, 1994. While in the army he received the Army Service Ribbon, Army Lapel Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Expert Badge Rifle M-16, and Expert Badge Hand Grenade. In 1994 he was honorably discharged. After serving in the military, Ricky worked as a substitute teacher at Scott Lake Elementary School.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: his mother, Paulette Millien; father, Eric Millien; sons, Jesus E. Millien and Christian L. Millien; sisters, Lourdes Cupidon, Darnell Sanon (Fresnel), and Ericka Millien; and brother, Jude Millien (Dishane). He also leaves behind a niece, Lacey Millien; pet and cuddle buddy, London Millien; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
