Obituary
Rose Mae Parker, affectionately known as “Mama Rose”, born on February 14, 1936, transitionedpeacefully into eternal rest on November 26, 2025, at the age of 89. A true Valentine’s Day baby, shecarried love in her heart, humor in her spirit, and a strength that guided her through every season of life.
Rose Mae devoted her life to her sons and grandchildren, pouring in love, wisdom, and—if you knewher—plenty of laughter. She had a gift for making you smile even on the days you didn’t feel like it,and she never missed a chance to crack a joke at just the right moment.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three siblings, and her beloved son, WilliamAllen Howard . Through every joy and every storm, Rose Mae stood firm in her faith and held tightly toher belief in God.
Rose Mae leaves to cherish her memory her oldest son, Herbert Howard Jr. , and her lovingsister, Annie Ruth Hamm. Rose Mae was a joyful and proud grandmother to ten grandchildren: David(Jerrilynn), Sonya (Arnold), Secoya (Samuel), Christopher, Hadassah, Catherine, Darius, Shawnise,Darvis, and Nastashia(LaRandle). Her legacy continues through 38 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends who loved her deeply.
Though she has departed this earthly life, her laughter, her faith, and her love will forever remain in thehearts of all who knew her.
May her soul rest in perfect peace, and may her memory live on through the generations she touched.
