Obituary
Rosemary Peek was born on February 11, 1941, to the late Dennis J. Peek of Madison, FL, and the late Ernestine Crawford Peek of Jacksonville, FL. She received her education through the Dade County public schools system. She graduated from Miami Northwestern Senior High, Class of ‘59.
Rosemary accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized on May 12, 1961, by the late Reverend McKeiver at St. Mark M.B. Church. Rosemary retired from Dade County public schools system on October 1, 2003. She worked as a food server at Van E. Blanton Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis J. Peek; mother, Ernestine Crawford Peek; aunt, Bessie Jerry; uncle, Edward Crawford, Jr.; brothers, Dennis Jr., Alfred, and Charles; sisters, Ernestine Peek Kelly and Kathaleen Peek James; and nephews, Howard Peek, Jr., and Dwain Edward Kelly.
She leaves to cherish her memories and loving ways: her only child, Tara Michele Peek; grandchildren, Eboni Isha Peek, La’Keitha Shatara Screen, Thaddeus Demetrius Brown, Jr., and Malik Henry Lee Brown; sisters, Geraleen Peek Evans and Shirley Marie Peek; brother, Howard Peek; cousin, Carolyn Jerry-Nelson; loving nieces and nephews who affectionately called her “Auntie Rose;” and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
