Obituary
Rosie Mae Parker was born on February 2, 1939, in Moundville, Alabama, Hale County, to the late Marvin C. Brown, Sr., and Lola Clark Brown. She was the eldest and only daughter of her parents. She was
blessed with two brothers, Marvin C. Brown, Jr., and Marvin Thomas Brown. Rosie attended school in the Hale County Public School System.
In 1958, Rosie met Daniel Parker, Sr., in Moundville, Alabama, and they eventually married. They were faithfully married for 56 years.
The couple later moved to Miami, Florida, where Rosie began working at the Doral Hotel on Miami Beach. She worked there for many years before continuing her career at the Omni International Hotel. Through her
hard work and dedication, she became a housekeeping supervisor and remained in that role until retiring after more than 20 years of service. Following her retirement, she devoted her time to caring for her beloved husband, Daniel who sadly proceeded her in death.
On June 15, 2026, at 10:05 p.m., the Lord called His earthly angel home and whispered, “Rosie, well done, my good and faithful servant.”
Rosie leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Sheila Parker; sons, Daniel Parker, Jr., the late Michael Parker, and Lamont Parker (Kendra); 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She also
leaves behind her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Dotson, Anna Parker (Tai), Martha Joyce, Maggie Parker(Joseph), and Mary Lou Brown (Chester); along with a host of nieces, nephews, close family friends, neighbors, and all whose lives were touched by her love and kindness.
Rosie Mae Parker’s legacy of faith, strength, devotion, and unconditional love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
