On November 20, 1966, at North Shore Medical Center, Sheila Ann Rozier was born in Miami, Florida. God blessed the late Kessler Wilson Rozier and Louise Taylor Rozier union with five children, one son and four daughters: Cynthia Rozier Griffin, the late Elbert Jenkins II, Maria Elaine Rozier, and Selena Rozier. On September 29, 2023, God said, “Sheila, your work on Earth is complete.” She transitioned in her sleep to her final resting place. Sheila received her education in Miami Dade County Public schools. Attending Miami Northwestern Senior High School (Bulls) where she graduated in the class of 1984. She furthered her education by attending the great Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU). She was a member of Que Essence sweethearts of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. At an early age she accepted Christ and joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Liberty City under the leadership of Reverend P. W. Wiggins. She was faithful in Sunday school and the youth choir. Sheila loved her community, and her community loved her back, anyone she came in contact with, it was in her heart to help them in any way possible. That included kids and adults. Her vast range of skills and employment were as follows: Resorts International, Belafonte Tacolcy Center, Willie Burns Sanitation, and VII Sports Club. Nevertheless, her greatest job was being the caregiver for her elderly parents. Her last attribute she was the family chef. You name it, she could cook it.
She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Jimmy R. Elliott III; daughter, Kayla J. Elliott; devoted mom, Louise T. Rozier; siblings, Cynthia Rozier Griffin, Maria Elaine Rozier, and Selena Rozier; grandchildren, Roman Elliott, Jessica Elliott, and Ashton Curry; nieces and nephews, Deetra Freshly (Patrick), Corinthia Jenkins, Elbert Jenkins (Tina), and Nicole King (Robert); along with a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
