Obituary

Taliyah Clarke was born on June 19, 2013, (Juneteenth) to her mother, Chantrell Manning, and father, Titato Clarke. In her upbringing, Taliyah was a social butterfly. Her compassionate nature made everybody gravitate towards her. She made friends with whomever she encountered. Taliyah had a smile that would light up the room. With her soft spoken voice, she always offered words of comfort to whoever needed it. If you were feeling down or looking sad she would say, “Are you okay?” or “What’s wrong? Tell me please!” She always felt as if she had to know and find a way to help in any way she could, and she always reminded everyone she loved them. Her personality brought joy and warmth to every room she was in. She’d be sure to leave an impact with her great sense of humor. Taliyah loved to dance. We just knew she would be a star one day. Dancing was her favorite thing to do. She would do Tik-Toks all day and ask everyone to join. Taliyah also had a love for baking. She couldn’t stay out of the kitchen. She thought she knew how to cook (LOL). She loved cooking and baking. Her favorite hobby was baking cookies with her mommy even though she was always forget to take them out in time (LOL). She wanted to be an entrepreneur. She wanted to have her own business. She started taking interest in doing nails. She would practice on her mommy. We told her one day she would become a professional nail tech. Taliyah loved music. She took a liking to R&B music because her mom would listen to it while cleaning. She would take hours in the shower with the speaker blasting. Her favorite song was Jhene Aiko “Promises.” She would sing it loud. “If anything should happen, promise you’ll be alright.”

Taliyah Departed on July 9, 2024, at the tender age of eleven. She had a message. She was a borrowed angel. She was preparing for her unexpected departure with love and hopes that everyone would be alright with her absence from the body. She knew her presence would still be felt in spirit. She will be missed. We will always carry your memories in our hearts. Our Tik-Tok dancing princess. “Forever 11, MY GIRRLL, PERRIOOD YESSS!” God needed his angel back and now you’re free. Our butterfly princess, Taliyah. Love always.
