Obituary
Timothy Montgomery Bostic III, affectionately known as “Timmy” by family and many others, was born October 17, 1966, in Columbus, Ohio, to Timothy M. Bostic II and Annie Pearl Jacobs.
Tim was a big-hearted, charismatic, fun-loving, life-of-the-party person with a robust zest for life and a giving spirit. He never met a stranger, he knew everybody, and everybody knew him. Most importantly, he loved to have a good time.
Tim was a product of the Miami Dade County Public Schools. He graduated from Hialeah Miami Lakes Senior High School, but at heart, he was a Carol City Chief. After high school, he attended Miami Dade College. He also attended a technical school where he received a license in air conditioning repair.
Tim was employed at the Miami Herald for over two decades. He also had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned several businesses. He was recently employed with Waste Management. Tim also loved to give back to his community. An organization he was most proud to be a part of was the 5,000 Role Models and the Dr. Martin Luther King Parade Committee.
Tim was raised in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and devoted his life to the Lord. He was a lifetime member of Mt. Zion AME Church Miami Gardens. He participated in many holiday programs at the church from childhood to adulthood.
On September 4, 2024, Tim went home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Timothy and Pauline Bostic, Robert and Ethel Mae Jacobs; his son, Enrique Fikes; as well as his uncles, Gregory and Tyrone Bostic and Ronald and Charles Jacobs.
Fond memories of him will be treasured by his parents Timothy M. Bostic II and Annie Pearl Jacobs Bostic; only daughter, Timiney Monet; granddaughter, Nylah Mathurin-Fikes; brother, Diron Gregory (Lonay); nephews, Isaiah Christopher and Ian Roberts; niece, Imani Gabrielle; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and a plethora of devoted friends.
The Bostic and Jacobs family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ericka Gainor for her support!
